I've been a long-time follower of this site, so thought I'd finally post some material of my own.

I have a heavily planted community tank:

Main specs are:

• It is an AKWA Elegance tank.
• Dimensions: 150 cm (L) x 49 cm (D) x 64 cm (H), about 420 L.
• I have a sump filter below. I guess about 100 L.
• Lighting = 120 W LED. On for about 8 hours a day.
• I use light CO2 and ferts.
• Random collection of fish and shrimp.

I did numberous trimmings inbetween as most of the plants are fast growing.

I replant the trimmings, so in the third pic the Mayaca fluviatilis and Myriophyllum simulans (left and right of the tank) are taking over. They would look better further back but there is no space as it's filled to the brim with other plants, I'll have to either move or sell them eventually....

Currently have 3 tanks going - a 2 foot, 1 filled 45p-ish and 1 empty 45p-ish going through a dry start for the plants.

Thought I’d make my first post about how my current tank is setup.

I should mention that this tank is currently just in its temporary form as I am intending to completely re-scape it properly later this year due to me collecting the items needed on a monthly basis. Can’t have an empty tank standing at the entrance of the house.

• Tank: Standard 1.2m Jebo

Somewhere in the beginning of the year I invested in a canister, CO2 and found some red jasper that I added to an existing substrate mix.

The time has come to sit back and start pondering its first trim and replanting.

Hopefully I will post more pics as the tank matures. Yes I do run CO2 but low volumes with "medium" light and limited fertiliser, so it is not a high-tech fast growing monster - but I hope a tank that will develop more character as time passes....
