Born in Zimbabwe, started keeping fish from a wee age. First fish I kept were guppies, have since moved on and kept ever other fresh water fish. Still haven't taken the plunge with Marines. I am currently carrying out a love affair with the Icthyofauna of South America. Lived there for a while, and couldn't get enough. Studied Zoology and Ecology at UCT. Been doing some systematics on the genus Apistogramma. One of my earlier research interest was on the parasites of Hydrocynus vitattus!
