I shoot a Canon SX20IS with 20x optical zoom at 12.1MP. I enjoy shooting macro and this lens has a 0mm focus, so it's perfect for me!
Large aperture allows more light in, but also narrows your DOF so ensure that your focus is right on the fish. I agree with the fast shutter speed...
