So i have 2 pairs ill be running
My strain i have been working on a few years

Setup: Running a bathtub pond


Breeding stock: My strain mixed with blue japan x endlers

Description: Been working on my guppy strain a few years
What you like about it: The colour is amazing
Where it came from: These came from a tank full of fish that i was getting rid of , only kept 5 and the started the strain
: Blue japan x endler i got from Prof Dirk

Goals: Getting rid of the last yellow marking on the tail and see what these strains will bring forward

Hi Marius. Are the first 2 pics the same fish?

 

@cliffy do hope people will find the strain interesting . @Broder yes , under lights he appears more blue , as you will notice under the flash (see green as well) but with out any lights he appears basically white . Will get better pics , M4 aqua is useless with photos , the one with flash was with Samsung S3 . Still need to add the females , imo the best looking female guppy

 

Taking pictures can be very frustrating! I am using a digital camera, and whatever I do, the quality if the pics are never the same!

Is the tub getting any sun? The plants look very healthy.

I know what you mean. Flash makes them sparkle like full sunlight. It's actually amazing how much better fish look in true light. I'm taking my pics in a small Betta tank outdoors in full sun. Stunning fish you have there!

You might see the females as well as the endlers in there and some Fancy fantail babies
@Broder yes , its like a those low budget sparkling vampires :laugh:

I have a small tank some where , will try that , might even do a underwater video with them then , and thanks , not many people appreciate guppies these days

Okey so its been a while . I noticed a lot of blonde fry in the tub , I didn't mention my almost 3 year old male guppy . He was nipped when I still had a blue ram , he was well over a year old but his splitted tail never grew back , he was super skinny and slow so I kept him since he was a old guy and he would not last if sold . To my suprice half the fry is blonde , he is fat and most active male since I started feeding ocean nutrition . So ill try to get pics of him and still my female blue ones , but hard to catch . So this whole game just changed for me , I have no idea what genes will be carried and so on

 

Seems like everybody is getting some surprises.

 

Any specific type/name of the food you are using?

Found all my fry missing , didnt thin te betta would get them all that fast , only 4 fry almost adults

Cross is seen at 0:13 , 0:26 , 0:54 and just look at that stunnng female at the end

 

Still needs a few days to get all hs colour but very happy with this cross between my strain and blue japan x endler
