Don't think that we can really help regarding the stand unless you post a diagram. I would rather make the tank wider than higher. Rather compromise viewing for turning comfort of the arowana. It will also be considerably less stress on the glass, so you could probably get away with 10-12mm glass then.

thanx for the input broder, the angle iron wont be used for stand , but for the aquarium frame, to basicly get as much silicone in there as possible, and prevent bowing, in regard with the arowana in the tank, they will be moved to a pond as soon as i see any signs of stress in regards of aquarium size the stand will be a custom plywood and leadwood cupboard, do you have any experience with the 12mm?

its all good, and ive run the tool before and read some treads on aquariums, basicly the angle iron frame should serve as bracing(I hope) and extra on botom ad top, im gona give it a go, and if a panel fails its hopefully only one seeing that the glass comes in at bout 7.5k

I would consider doing a double layer glass bottom if I were you.
How thick is the angle iron ? - the pressure of the water on the bottom layer of glass will be huge, and it might put too much pressure on the bottom and the entire sheet of glass, will be 'suspended' in the angle iron and only have the support on the edges - hence the double layer might be the way to go

Just to add to eros111's point... Just make sure that all angle iron contact surfaces, especially load bearing, are 100% smoothe and free of raised sections. All you need is 1mm of rogue steel pressing up under a ton of water pressure, and BANG!!
