Was playing around taking some photos and just thought i would post a few to update
Was asked for a full tank shot the other day.. so here goes

I have officially given up on live plants in this tank...'
Have also had to remove most of the rocks... last one weighed over 4kg... as they were being moved around and lifted and dropped on the base.. so before i walk in to a cracked base... i had to remove them, need to go find bigger rocks

I have taken my Geos out into their own tank for a while, hoping they spawn again and i can save more than 7 babies

My clowns play games in and out of my internal filters which is where all 11 were when i took the full tank shot and the 2 Dats said no pictures tonight... they like ghosts against the back glass

For those that might be interested, Polkadot is about to turn two years old and her final trait of a big spot black diamond is now coming through.... the belly spotting

if I had a tank like that, i would probably work from home... beautiful @MariaS ( I would also probably go on stress meds), that is some valuable stock you have in there, and looking at that just forces any other fish keeper to respect you for this achievement. well done!

Thanks @AmithS ... Yes..... She is just my special baby... well.. her and Polkadot ...
Her colour is coming on nicely considering I haven't tanned her at all
I have a white, a blue and a red normal T5 (I think) lights no extra tanning except the sunlight the tank gets in the afternoon for a while which they say is the best to bring out the colour
So under the circumstances I am happy with the rate at which the red is developing

    Thanks @Christiaan Duvenage

    Thanks @hviviers75 ...

Filtration is good but pretty standard

There are two large internal filters one on each side, each running ( if I remember right) a 3000/3500l per hour pump

Sump is 1.8m and has a fair amount of media but still has space for a lot more as well as a compartment where I will be adding K1 fluidized bed. But for now, the existing media is more than enough for the bio load
I got the big sump from the word go to make sure I had enough space to keep adding media to cater for the rays growth or new additions
I have a 7000l per hour pump in the sump but Cesar has just upgraded the pump in his monster and has given me his 10000l per hour pump so he will change the pumps for me soon.

And two wave makers .. one on each side.. think those are 7000l hour

Water changes.. about 60/70% weekly depending
Sometimes one week 50% and the next a bigger one

I will take some pictures of the filtration

Just as a matter of interest.... had been waiting for this to happen for the last few weeks

Got home this afternoon and Polkadot had left a present for me in the tank...
I think this is her 5th barb, although i only have 4 as i must have missed the first one when she was very small and was sucked up dring gravel vac

As you can see, the barb is serrated on the sides
The tip will also remain poisonous for a few months after being dropped today, you can see its still black on the tip

So what do you think is the max size that she will drop over the years ?

Surely this is an indicator of a healthy and happy fish ?
