Some of these plants are looking way better with the extra CO2 ..

Think I am doing almost double the amount of CO2 with the two bells

Another week has passed .. starting to wonder about the maths on how this works. Found an interesting post here on co2 bells http://www.thekrib.com/Plants/CO2/co2-bells.html
Not winning the Alage battle yet - thinking about a nice big WC this weekend for a flush.

Everything seems to be going pretty well is this method of Co2 diffusing safe to use overnight?

I think so .. it is rather hard to over dose CO2 with this method ... non of my fish are heading to the surface so all must be OK.

Did a bracket for the one bottle - man this needs to be done better ... when filled and submerged like it is - it is actually a big ask to keep it in place for the clamps I am using.

Are you not using more co2 with the bell/ bottle method that diffusing it in bubbles?

hmm have not rea;;y thought about it ... don't think so will do some math maybe an experiment ... how long does it take to fill say a 1l with what 20bpm ?

One thing am pleased to report back on .. found a 1.5 liter bottle ;-) , but I think your bpm question is more important so will do that first.

Thought about it .. will probably only do say 50 or a 100ml ... not telling how long I might be at it.

Recon it is about on avg 14 bubbles per ml .. so 14 000 bubbles in a 1 liter container. So if that was bubbled 24x7 like the availability is with the bells. that is about 10 bubbles per minute. Way under the 20 - 30 bubbles per minute that people seem to aim for. That said ... the 20 - 30 bpm is not typically over a 24x7 hour period ... so maybe a 1liter of CO2 fully absorbed is about 1/5 of what is needed by normal logic.
More mathamgics than anything else ...

Man this 1.5 is tall ... but if you look at the CO2 consumed on the 1l - that looks like 700ml and then the same corresponding on the 500ml is only just over 1/2 so call it 300ml each. So that tank can handle a 1.5 no problems I think.

    J_wpabt3-bYMSGoB-hUQRgX_1IVaXOUh0kxYSTZiVUT1-8twdBoafti_jbrMTsUyiF_fIRjK9N_I0X_UqQ=w1672-h943-no.jpg

The 1.5 is empty at the moment - will add the CO2 in the morning.

1 liter is the clear winner .. all CO2 is consumed.

    l9dMsXXWDY9xFIgSnIgyB9gF7WABQMl9K2RaTfpAY6yTSriCdn_1IJ1nT7FhqhlriO08g61adtj4mt9ybw=w1672-h943-no.jpg

Removing the the two bigger bottles and going to use the 1.5 with the base line mounted 500ml going forward.

Game on ... the race to the end, well till I refill again ;-)

Looking back at the past few weeks - I have to ask myself; self are you spending too much time on this darn CO2 bottle thing?

    65y0W1dnlDy8k_ZPSVyFkg0mapN2jw6xWQx2r_XUa-cXuB5WIJa-Qu-UuqpZTL1VfTJfLGZfC1EJIdEPzw=w1672-h943-no.jpg

And then I have the argument with my inner voices, could have - should have - might have been working on solving world peace, but wait this might be more rewarding.

@f-fish what do you say if people ask you what plants you have in your tank? Because it wouldn't be easy to name the whole forest

lol - real green plants, cause if they have to ask then they are not really interested just trying to make small talk. If they are really persistence I send them to f-fish.net so that they can go an get a feeling of the scale of the question ;-)
