    Hi all,

Here to share my latest scaping project I call “Dragon Valley”.

This is a 1200 x 500 x 500 rimless tank. I’ve used Dragon stone for this hardscape. Substrate used is ADA Amazonia 2 with Phillipi sand down the pathway.

Lights: 2x Zetlight 1.2m lancea marine lights.

I’ll keep this post updated with photos and progress as I go along.

So a little update, I’ve been doing some planting today. I’ve got quite a variety of plants that is going to be added in this tank. So far I’ve got the following:

    • Monta Carlo moss
    • Anubias Nana petite
    • Buce
    • Hygrophila Pinnatifida
    • Bolbitis
    • Blyxa
    • Narrow leaf Java fern
    • Madagascar lace leaf
    • Alternanthera Reineckii mini
    • Cabomba
    • Ludwigia repens red
    • Alternanthera Reineckii
    • Red tiger lotus
    • Some other plants in the background that I don’t know the names of. Will find out sometime but I know how they grow.
I’m getting some more stems tomorrow and will see what comes in. My vision is to have on the left side all green stems and on the right all red stems so I get this lovely contract between the two sections.

I’m still thinking if I should add laeganandra meeboldii red and crypts wendtii brown for the mid ground infront of the large peak on the left.

What do you guys think? What plant is better suited for the middle section infront of the large peak?

Anyway, here’s a photo. I should complete my planting tomorrow and fill up. My fish can go into their new home and be happy. They currently being kept in a 90cm spare tank.

    Nice @BrentDB
Those plants will hide your lovely hardscape. It’s quite a large crypt eventually.

@A new day, that is true, they do eventually get large. I need something in the mid size plants to not hide that nice peak.

@Nirvashen , I haven’t specifically planned the planting process, I had quite a bunch of plants from my previous scape which I’m using and basically winging it as I’m planting. I have a basic idea of what I want, then adding to that idea as I’m planting.

Cryptocorene petchi is a smaller crypt. Or something like eriocauron vietnam? Or a bush of hydrocotyle tripartita (would be higher maintenance to keep in shape).

So I’m not completely done planting yet but filling up so long until I get the other plants.

I’ve actually got some hydrocotle, that’s a good idea. Think I’ll plant some there. Might look at smaller crypts too.

    @Whoknows ,

I bought it about 2 weeks ago from someone I recently met in the hobby. My previous tank was similar with 10mm glass rimless and black silicone, this one is wider but less high than my previous tank. I wanted something wider this time to have more surface area than height.
