Ahhh no man that's terrible news. I'm pretty sure that now that they've spawned you'll have another batch soon. Maybe next time keep them in the main tank. You can make a makeshift breeding box with a container, or a tumbler with a bottle. I've never had success either with any fry who were taken out to another tank or container in the first few days after hatching or been born. I always thought it was due to the shock from water quality changes, or even temperature.

Mmm thanks @Nina_W I’ve heard that before but it hasn’t played out for me - see pic of the 38L that gets excel daily.
Prior to resuming the excel on the jungle tank about 2 weeks ago I haven’t dosed for at least 6 months...

Whoah! Those are some epic vals!!

Mine have also never grown that well, but they grow just fine other than not looking quite that healthy!!

I finally have some trailing along the surface, which is nice.

I guess it depends on the setup whether it melts or not! More reading is needed.

Rams laid again! But I’ve come to realize that I’m not essentially a breeder, and raising ram fry is particularly demanding. So not going to take action...

I always love the look of the platties in that tank. Makes me sooo tempted to get some. I'm just so scared of landing up with high bioload fish again. Will need to see where my tank takes me. I don't think they're right for me though. But they sure do look stunning.
