Just to clarify- you mean 1 male and 1 female cacarudis? Which sounds good. Personally I wouldn’t do 2 males in a 2foot but @Chandz should be able to advise.

Dropped in a sinking carnivore pellet this morning, which the shrimpies are clearly enjoying :)

Plant wise the 65L is just doing its thing and thriving low maintenance BUT the ember tetras and Hengel’s rasboras are dwindling in numbers, not quite sure why. Water parameters are spot on but there seems to be weird stuff going around atm.

An ember tetra seemed bloated, another one developed dark spots. I simply stopped seeing them. A rasbora is losing colour now, nothing else stands out as a particular disease that I’ve come across before.

Obviously hesitant to move newly quarantined fish into a tank that seems to have an issue.

Also think I need to recharge the Purigen, water has a tint lately.

No not yet unfortunately. I haven’t had further losses or symptoms though so might just sit it out and see

Sunday’s flea drops incident gave the cherry shrimp colony a serious knock but three positives:

    - there are quite a few shrimp survivors and they seem to have recovered. Mostly juvies though so will take longer to up the numbers

    - after the big (almost 100%) wc the water seems more transparent, there was a slight tint despite the Purigen.

    - spotted a Pygmy Cory during the wc. Reminded me of @Cale24 experience with them disappearing but then later finding 8 of them during a re-scape. Wonder how many of them are still alive in this tank?

    Tanks looks great as usual.

As previously discussed - it's so annoying when your fish disappear into the decor and you never see them

Looking amazing, and glad things are stabilising again!
Funnily enough I spotted 10 Pygmys recently! So they are indeed good at laying low haha. Wish they came out more in the daytime, they look great in numbers.

Yes they are really cute! Even the ones in the 38L are lying low at the moment unfortunately.

    The tank looks great.
Sorry about the disaster with the flea drops, but glad there are still a fair few survivors.
