    You don't need daphnia... Blood worm, frozen or live brine shrimp or crushed pellets work well

    @Hendre I've stopped feeding ftozen bloodworm altogether now, it's full of nasty bacteria! Thank you very much for your input, but after making my conclusions, I feel it would be somewhat unfair and must rather now mainly just concentrate on my Tropheus. I am now no longer going to replace any of my south American species. Any new purchases will be only african cichlids.

    I used to import them many years ago trust me live food for the first year, you lucky if you get a baby eating non moving food also i dont believe in starving the fish till it eats dead food feed pellets once they older esp the larger trout pallets .

    They also dont tell you the percentage of death to success rate either .One of the fish exporter has stopped supplying young fish to the ÙSA market due to the high mortality rate of babies he was saying 1 in 60 lived .Stunning fish though .
