Hi. What rocks can be used to scape a tank for haps and peacocks?

And where can I get these rocks?

Mhmm I think any natural rock that is washed and free of chemicals would be fine. Some rocks may raise the hardness of the water, but with rift valley cichlids the water should be hard anyway. I do know that some porous rocks may dissolve in water, but I have no idea what types they are.
Slate rock (leiklip) is popular because it is flat, so you can easily stack it to form caves.

dried up river beds usually have great rocks inland, just wash them well. just be careful with slate if you choose to use it as it can be a very sharp rock and with fast swimming fish you can run the risk of injury ;)
