Wow - it sure has, what is the plan, going to leave it running on the tank or only use it a few hours a day / after a WC etc ?

At this stage the UV Steriliser is connected in-line to the inlet hose of the canister filter.
The water passes through it, whether it is switched on or not.
I think I will just leave it on at this stage.

@Pezulu so how about a update on your tank. Have you noticed your fish being more healthier and active since adding the uv sterlizer?

The fish are certainly active, if not happier.
The tank has started aging nicely, but the Glosso is not taking.
There are a few strands that have grown, but the rest is a lost cause.
Growth of the plants after 3 weeks is phenomenal.
CO2 and Scape K and Trace are doing their thing.

I will post a pic of the tank tomorrow.

As a matter of interest, are you still running the UV?

    Update pic.
The UV Steriliser is running 24/7, and I will keep it running as part of the filtration system.

Agreed, looking very crisp Pezulu. The root growth on the anubias is hectic, I've never had mine show such vigor. FYI, looks like the rocks you have are all dolomite. Definitely the one on the front right is..

Is dolomite a good thing or a bad thing?

Dolomite is a mix of magnesium & calcium carbonate. Most people seem to think it would be detrimental in a planted tank situation as it would raise ur kH & pH as it breaks down under acidifying conditions. I've never used it in my planted tanks but iv got a dark grey version of it in my multi tank. (they come from a rift lake where the pH is high, so the dolomite is in theory a boitope-correct choice).

Tell you what.. Let's test our pH's and see the comparison? Would be interesting!

I have it in my planted tank pH at 7, when I had CO2 running on this tank my pH was around 6, haven't measured kh or gh for a while
