They sometimes put a plastic sheath over the spike to avoid them accidentally piercing the bag which would be disastrous

 

Thought its time for a little update on the babies ..

They doing great, eat like little piggies and are adorable with characters to match

These will grow to about 40/45cm with the males being the smaller size

 

So not nearly as big as the diamonds! Very cool.
