I have two breeding pairs. One pair with wigglers and the other cleaning a slate. My question: Can i place the slate when the eggs are laid with the pair with the wigglers (which will be free swimming then)?

    I wouldn't.
If possible, keep them in seperate tanks.
Or atl east, if you must keep them in thesame tank, have some sort of divider.

yep i agree , the bigger ones will out-compete the smaller siblings for food reducing survival rates

You may place wrigglers with other wrigglers, but eggs will be a gamble. You might get away with putting a batch of eggs with another batch of eggs. Just make sure lights are off when you do either.

    Thanks
