    Nice tank
Am sure it will grow in nicely.

Not that keen on the dyed glassfish though.

Totally agree with the principle of harming fish and the concept of dying fish. Especially what happens to the parrot fish. Firstly they are in the tank cos the Mrs thinks they're cute. Secondly, these are glofish. So they aren't dyed or harmed in any way. They have been bred with a particular gene that allows them to have pronounced fluorescent colors. I may be incorrect, that's from the research that I have done. It's open to a discussion. If I am wrong then I can return them to the lfs, no issues. This may serve as a learning curb to me as well....

The Danio on the top could be a "glofish"
Third one from the top on the rhs is a (pink) dyed glass fish

If this is true then back to the LFS.. the guys told me that it was bred with the exact principles as glofish. They also had a write up stuck on the tanks as these fish were all in the same bank of tanks. I will pop around, maybe they were also mislead?

The dyed glass fish are definately not bred on the same principles as glofish.
They are injected with the colour dye. Only a small percentage survive the process. And those that do survive are in a lot of pain apparently.

You have it now. Perhaps rather take good care of it instead of causing more trauma by taking it back to the shop?

As much as I dont agree with the dyed fish... yes.. if you innocently bought them. just give them a good home ... its not the fishe's fault...and next time you will know better...

    Agree
It's in your tank now, so just give it the best care possible
And now you know for the future

Thanks guys. I have thought about it and you guys were right. The tank is a great home for them certainly after what they have been thru. I did however speak to the lfs about them. They have removed them from the bank of tanks that have the glowfish. I hope it will clear up the confusion.
