After a 10 yr break from keeping fish, bought a tank last week and looking forward to getting back into it.

Need to go read all my old posts to remind myself on what needs to be done

Welcome back Allan .. nothing has changed - we still need water

If you are into plated life is easy and simple these days ... plant dense and with a good soil - add expensive lights and pay for watered down fertz ... then they should do well.

If you are into just fish- well we still need water.

What size tank did you get and what are you going to stock it with.

    Later Ferdie

    Thanks for the messages.

Well this weekend it went from 1 tank to 2 tanks very quickly.

Will be going for community type tanks, with live plants and wooded areas.

SWAMBO has already instructed that in the one tank (going in our room) must have a large school of cardinals and rummy noses.

So we will see how it goes. the bedroom tank is almost complete, just need a bit more substrate then I can start with the plants and fish ... the main tank in the lounge is going to take longer. Need filters, lights the works.
