So lets see. What bad habits do you guys have with your fish. I can say, mine would be getting fish and forgetting there name. Yhen when people ask me what fish I have, I just show em photos.
I tend to resist change - so my tanks always stay the same, I get obsessed with a particular species of fish and dont really try other species out. 1st it was threadfin rainbowfish, then it was pygmy corys, currently it celestial pearl danios. That basically describes my last 10 years of fish keeping
Regular water changes. Being a shift worker it's not possible to do changes like every Saturday or any day regularly. So doing when I got time and feel like it.
I must say my bad habit is keeping the lights of my tanks on for too long on weekends, i don't want to miss anything happening in the tank.....
Ummm.. I get told I spoil my fish too much because I have a habit of hand feeding them and target feeding individually.. but I enjoy the interaction with them
too many tanks and always planning on a new tank, watching classified for a good deal. wife knows me with a measuring tape and pad of paper means i am seriously thinking
Never being satisfied with how a tank looks, and chopping and changing the plants in the tanks. Also, being an impulsive buyer of fish. When I see something that I fancy, I will do all the reading up I can about it, and if it fits in with the other fish in either of my tanks, I will purchase it. Spending too much with too little in return is another bad habit.
Totally agree! That said, got myself 5 xray and 5 serpae tetras over the weekend. The schooling nicely together.
Haha. Know the feeling too well and then I need to go back and edit the bad spelling. Bad habit is defnitly reducing the quantity of tanks I'm running just to set them up again, a few weeks later, with something new in it. But the worst habit will have to be keeping my wife in the dark about what my hobby actually costs me. She will kill me if she knows what I have paid for some of the plants, fish and shrimps I have in my tanks. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
