Very nice! Sorry about the escapee :(

I see some vallis in there? Which other plants have you had luck with in brackish tanks? I’ve heared some say anubias can take it?

Nerite snails ought to thrive in brackish water, no? Edit: but not with the puffers

Sorry to hear about the goby!

Haha not really a fan of reptiles, mostly because while volunteering at the zoo in December i was put with the reptile room and realised reptile poop isn't nice at all, including iguana poop. And as for snakes, they're cool to look at but their fangs hurt

I also have java fern in there, still small but doing well, not sure about anubias though
As for the reptiles, yes I've never kept a snake only a bearded dragon but those teeth are of concern yes as is the mess

Only kept snakes at work. I really want one for myself but space is an issue now. Might try start with a ball python at the end of the year been on an exotic pets group and found a morph breeder nearby me. I love the look of the tree pythons but their teeth are insane and they don't really like being handled.

With the puffer make sure the other fishes fins are okay. Cause that's a sign they are fin nipping when you're not around. Most people keep the by themselves buts some do allow tank mates.

I've kept figure 8 puffers with knight gobies and mollys before...but yes with puffers there is always a risk, although the sailfin mollys and knight gobies are both bigger and faster than the puffer, and F8's are pretty chilled puffers....

Glad to see that brackish tanks are still finding favour with some fishkeepers, it's one of the most unique parts of the hobby. I did a thread on TASA many moons ago, link here.

Sadly not keeping any brackish fishes right now, but I have my eyes on a new project around the corner once lockdown eases up a little more.

I’ve read that thread a couple of weeks ago, excellent as always (not that I have a clue about brackish but very detailed and clear).

Looking forward to your new project! Do you have any other projects running or threads you could update or start? What are you into at the moment? Sorry, have read so many contributions you’ve made to the forum over the years, and excited to see you surface again

That is a nice collection of fishes, I would worry that the tank is a little small..... most of those scats and monos are still little, and the puffer will easily become eel food.... but really nice to see all the brackish species, like the plants
