Ah man this is Terrible news. I am also guilty of skipping quarantine and every time I hear of this it makes me so scared. Hope you manage to pull them all through

Oh heck, years ago ich was a major problem, but with the excellent medication we have now, it's not such a big deal. They're eating and active and otherwise very healthy, so with some care, it should be ok.

Yeah, always quarantine, friends. Don't be like me!

Spock's really looking much better. This is basically bed time, so no fishy is terribly excited, but he relaxes after a bit (he's become really skittish of my watching him recently), and at the end, he's being all flirtatious with a new rainbow.

His colour isn't great, but better than just dark grey, and definitely changing a bit as he swims - all good signs.

The tank is being treated with Waterlife Protozin, I'm a fan of this as an ich treatment. Leaves your bio-filter alone, and is mostly ok with plants (the vals may be a bit unhappy, but in my hands they're a bit of a prima-donna plant, melting whenever their imported almonds aren't quite blanched exactly to their specifications or with the phases of the moon or when their horoscope isn't favourable... while making more little vals furiously all the time, so eh? )

On the last day of whitespot treatment, all signs of it is gone, which is good.

But Spock is dying. Laying on his side, breathing heavily. Seems the recovery was a "last hurrah". I think the overheating hurt him in some way I couldn't see.

    I'm really quite sad.

Hi Nina, those sword tails are lovely. The Rainbow fish... Were the latest photos of them (before the white spot) the very orangey yellow fish? Maybe you wouldn't mind posting some more photos of your Swords and Rainbows? Okay... Take care now
