I got myself a 60p starfire crab aqua tank and decide to try a Dutch inspired tank with only plants and no hard scape. i also built a small xmas moss wall

    hardware:
    tank: crab aqua 60p
Filtration: seachem tidal 35 with standard media, filter floss and 100ml purigen
substrate: JBL aqua basis plus (2ltr) capped with JBL mando
    CO2: co injection (+- 3bps), medium glass diffuser running 8 hours a day (1pm to 9pm)
lighting: two zetlight marine space fresh water lights 15w each (8 hours a day 2pm to 10pm)
    Plant list:
    foreground: staurogyne repens, crypt parva
midground: cryptocoryne wendtii green , ludwigia super red, alternanthera reineckii
background: limnophila sessiliflora, pogostemon stellatus, Rotala (i think colourata , i could be wrong), and i have thrown in some hygrophila pinnatifida (not sure about this thinking of removing it)
On glass: diy xmas moss wall ( not too sure on the species looks like xmas)
Heating: none at the moment by in the future when i add livestock a ehiem heater
fertilization: 2 squirts scape complete daily.
extras: sonoff 2 channel wifi switch for lights and co2

Thanks and no livestock yet (yes if you consider 2 nerite snails as inhabitants), i have not decided what i want to put into it yet , i want lots of Nano fish but i can really seem to find any that i really like, looking for something unique.

    Scape looks amazing.

What you want then are sawbwa resplendens. Very unique, very rare. Beautiful fish. I dont see a temp on your tank but they dont do well on warmer tanks. I keep mine at 20 degrees, in summer it goes to about 24.

They look like the pic on the left. The darker blue one has been photo shopped. I am not sure if they will do well in hard water - I mix 1 :1 tap ; rain water in my setup. There is someone selling on facebook I think - the PE fish group was saying that they go for R70 a fish which is a bit steep IMO. I am breeding but have nowhere near enough to sell - only about 20 or so currently

well after 10 min of research they do come from slightly more alkaline water, so they would work with hard jhb water, if you ever have any that you willing to sell let me know.

When you see them in the LFS they usually dont look like anything special. If they are young they are an olive green colour - very drab. At about 4 months old the males start to colour up and then they start looking amazing

I remembered seeing them in George Farmer's old tank - they sure do look great as adults:

Wow, looks amazing! I love how bright it is and the bright red amongst the green.
It looks like a sunny autumn day.

@Reedfish and @HugBug , thank you for your kind words, i was totally blown away how well the red plants grew in the setup, reds are also enhanced by the zetlight, i put it on the red white led mix mode and set the reds on 2 clicks on (it will make more sense if you have used these zetlights before). but i love the colors got the reds, coppers and the greens, really thrilled about the progress. also the red brown Manado soil also goes with the tank.
