    Morning!

I would greatly appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. Would love a pair or two of these...

Ps: I don't know what the coloration of this one is. Help would be appreciated.

It is a strain of Apistogramma cacatuoides. Could be the double red variety but I am not sure.

How are they in a community tank? i.e. can you put them with cardinals etc?

    Thank you @Irma

@rednox - none! Was there this afternoon. Had the most beautiful Mandarin but no Cacatuoides!

@CJ Fish - yes, from what I understand have read, they will be suitable tank mates and will do fine in a community tank.

@Quue - I sure hope we can find them!

I got from Mark at petstop last week, they are perfect fish for a community, I got them with a whole host of other fish and they do fine

They could be agressive to some species of Corys!!

@Luna Tic - thank you very much. I will put an order in with him. Are they really as beautiful as they look in the pictures? I've never seen a live one and can barely contain my excitement. How big is your tank?

@DoubleDutch - thank you very much for the heads up on that one. I've been wanting to put cory sterbai with them. Will read up on it a bit. Would still love to see a photo of your cory some time. It's really interesting how the same species can differ in appearance from one country to the next. I presume it's the water that makes a difference.

Some problems with C.Panda have been reported here. My suspesion is that it probably has to do with the dark stripe through the eye of both. The Cacatuoidesmale in mating-mood probably see that as an opponent. But it's only a thought. Some guys overhere suggest to not keep appistos and Corys together, but that's crap to me. I don't think Sterbai will give problems, not having the dark stripe !!!!
