    Tell me about them :)

My community tank is 120liters. 60 x 45 x 55cm running a fluval 104 cannister filter, medium planted and running at about 24degC
    current fauna:
    - 7 glowlight tetras
    - 6 panda corys
    - male and female pearl gourami
    - trio of thick-lipped gouramis
    - 3 SAE

Could I add some dwarf cockatoos? is there space for them and would they be compatible with the current inhabitants?

Yes, you could definitely add them. Best to add either a pair, or a trio. 1 male to 2 females. More than one male, and they will box, often to the death!!

Give them a cave to hide in and you will be styling.

Just be warned that when they breed they will take over a fair amount of tank space and force all your other fish into the remaining space. And if any fish dares to come into their territory it will be attacked.

Any fish that takes care of its fry becomes aggressive when it has fry. At least I cant think of any that dont become aggressive.

Yes they are peaceful... when then not showing breeding behaviour, spawning, protecting eggs, or protecting fry.

These are peaceful fish, I got 1 male and 3 females alone with alot of other fish, they don't hassle them at all. Definately go for it!

    Yes, they will be fine.
Might get a bit aggro if they try and breed. But they should otherwise be ok.

As all have said they should get along just fine until breeding time. I have a trio in a little 60l community and all is fine until breeding mode gets triggered and then all hell breaks loose with the only fish being left alone being those in the upper water column.

    Thanx everybody.
How often and likely are they to spawn?

If you don't want them to breed, don't put any caves in the tank. If you give them a cave, they will breed. Mine spawned in the community tank and they chased the corries away, but everything else was fine.
