Got home ... fish room tripped water on the floor ... hmm what tank burst?

Turns out to be an EHEIM 2071 serial 10xxxx .. check all the normal stuff, nope not rings etc.

ggl phd to the rescue "pumpheads that were effected (all 09 and some 10 pump heads)"

Opened mine up ... sure thing that seems to be the issue.

checked the other 4's serial numbers ... does not look like they are from this batch.

Ok floor is dry enough to start the rest of the 220 volt stuff up. Some minor shelf water damage but will keep running the fans to suck the water from the wooden floors. (Not like this has not happened before ;-)

Need to find an o-ring - will get one from mica that I think will fit.

How old is your equipment? I don't have that model, but I haven't had that problem yet.

    Hope it comes right.

Eish.. .... I know the feeling... when your eyes fall on the flooded floor and your heart sinks..

Glad there isn't too much damage and it can be fixed..

@f-fish, hope you get it sorted.

My Aquaone has leaked twice in the 5 years that I have had it.
First time from where they pipes join the canister, and most recently from the main seal.
Wish it wasn't so expensive to replace, wasn't a good buy

So I cleaned it out back then, did a silicone seal around the edge of the plunger - corked some into the plunger shaft to make sure that nobody can ever depress the prime button (never use them on canisters as it is .. but you never know).

No leaks and been running on full duty since the repair.
