    Hey everyone...

So I'm new here a day was wondering if you could help me out...

I have all the components of El ferts for my tank however my plants don't look too great and also I don't think I'm doing it right ...

Can you guys please help me??

I want to mix my own ferts so I can put say a few ml of each macro and micro ingredients every so often.. But not individually..

Please could someone. Help me with some valuable advice ?

    Thanks Ange..

I'll let the pros advise... But from what I see the plants actually look good. There's some tannins in the water from the driftwood. This isn't bad at all. Not harmful to your plants and the fish will love it too.

Agree this does look good, how long has the tanks been going ?

Adding fertz can be a double edged sword. more growth - more WC - more algae - get it wrong / right need CO2 on tap etc.

Why not read up on EI vs say https://sites.google.com/site/aquaticplantfertilizer/home/pps-pro in smaller tank
ks esp when you are still getting into the game - pps-pro is what I aim for. It actually is a natural right step - same fertz as EI but less hassle. My tanks are on a semi pps-pro thinking - except I do not measure stuff - eyeball it.

No matter what route you take - water stability is actually the key and this is very hard in small water systems, but it does look like you are off to a great start.

    Hi @Ange28

I hate telling people what will and what will not work with plants, so much depends on tank history and what is going into your tank.

So much is already published on the net that in the end you will need to read and decide what path you take https://www.google.co.za/search?q=aquarium+plant+deficiencies&newwindow=1

This is a nice "summary" of relevant charts you will see the concept for identification is around old growth vs new growth. Old things sometimes die, so this does make is a bit harder. Also leaves change when they go form emersed to immersed growth ... https://reviewwalls.co/aquarium-plant-deficiency-guide/

If you can remove the old leave and lets see what the new leaves do.
