    Hi everyone....

We ( @Cesar and I)have had a very exciting few days..
As some of you might have read his thread, the Geos hadbabies..
Well.... last night, after he set up his babies in their newhome and all was settled... Cesar came to help me with water changes on mytanks...
Next thing.. all I hear is.... Mom you have also gotbabies!! Hundreds of babies!
In total shock, as I wasn’t expecting babies from any fishin my tank, I went running to have a look and... on one corner of the tankwhere there are lots of plants and wood there was like a cloud with dozens of tiny, tinyfry from my electric blue acaras!!! They as small as pin heads!
They had obviously laid their eggs hidden behind the plantsand wood and we didn’t even see them so... we siphoned them all up as they werestarting to be eaten by the other fish and this afternoon Cesar has helped meset up a new home for these little guys as well!!
We are following all the advice given to Cesar on the geobabies but if there is anything else anyone that might have had acara babies canadd, I would appreciate it.

    Will post some pictures

Always nice to be surprised like that.
The parents are great looking fish, so you can expect great looking babies.

    Thanks guys...

Just battling with water changes and siphoning the bottom of the tank as there are so many and so tiny that they get sucked into the pipe and I used thin air pipe

    Any suggestions would be appreciated....

i would just siphon it into a whit bucket ,the white background will make it easy to spot them and they mostly survive the journey .

    Thanks @Reefish

Thanks.. It's what I have resorted to doing but what a mission!! They so small that you battle to catch them from bottom of bucket back to the tank

Quite some "fun" but so far looks like they doing ok..

    Thanks....
    l
The gentleman at the LFS sexed them for me... but the male is bigger and very blue, the female is smaller and the top of her head is black. the red line on the fin is more prominent on the male.

Thanks... yes I will sell some.. I removed the babies to aseparate tank, there are about 30 and doing well

AND on Friday another batch of eggs hatched!!! There must be about 80 of them
I have left them with parents who are doing an amazing job of raising them so will leave them together a little longer
