At the moment I only have the one blue female. Will have to wait a bit before I will be able to see it on the fry. Females are slower than males to show their true colors

Havn't got a foto of what it looks like at the moment. Scared of the comments I will get about how over stocked it is. Will just say it 2.5m and not 1.2 then there won't be any issues.

    Will take one this evening.

Congrats. Are you sure you arent counting the reflection in the glass? I count about 20 in the pic. I saw one of PEs LFS has some of these at R100 a fish. Was tempted but I dont have space right now and they will interfere with my smaller fish

Lol yes, none would be reflecting, these guys are at surface level and tiny, the bury ones are constantly moving.. i will take a video tonight, it will give you a better idea of numbers, there are far more than can be seen in the pic.

the most I have seen a rainbow was R170, but i think a high quality Boesmani with full color is worth much more. you get plenty hybrids where the coloring is not perfect.

all you really need is a 1,5 foot tank, a male a female and moss. then another 1,5 foot to separate the parents from the fry.

they take a few months to get to a decent size and color.

Well done @Ammar. Looking good. Can't believe myself that those pins will turn into 10cm fish, after a long wait.

@TheGrissom rainbows are actual very dosile towards other smaller fish. I have only had one issue in the years I had them. One male desided to try and eat a salt and pepper corry, twice, and bothe times I had to remove the poor corry from his mouth.

@Ammar here is the smile and wave part. I counted 25 rainbows, actually don't have an idea how many there is. Then I'm not talking about the 20 to 30 corries in there. Here is my nicely barely stocked 4ft.[IMG]

Thats an awesome tank, i dont think its overstocked at all, i was expecting many more. If your fish are happy and u have adequate filtration thats all that really counts.

@BradK thanks. It is a dirted tank capped with pfs. You have to get rainbows. Fish that just get better the older they get.
