I have Orange /Sunburst starting to breed, although they won't be available for at least a year or so until I have the colour strain locked down.

really stoked...i started a breeding group from low grade RCS in the past so this time starting with quality stock should be so much more rewarding!

well more than two grades, Red Cherries are the base, then Sakura Red, Fire Red and Painted Red. Theres also a bloody Mary but this comes from a Chocolate brown brown derivative. Unlike the RCS, the bloody mary has red flesh and clear exoskeleton....crazy red...probably the deepest red variation...crazy expensive too

beauty is in the eye of the beholder lol even within each grade you get higher grade RCS and lower grade RCS, same with other grades

The K@Kest ones are the clear wild type ones in my opinion...especially when they get really large..you can pick these up for R5 a pop usually :)

LOL i have a one foot at work full of them... some @hole sold them to me for 10 bux a pop and said their offsprings will be colourful!!

LOL i got shnied big time.. but they clean well I guess.

but now, tell me.. if I bread a proper red with a wild, what happens? is there a chance of getting something decent? cause i saw a chart with wild being the base for all colours...or am i wrong

I could be wrong and Pezulu could probably answer better. Its a bit of a lucky packet when you cross them from my experience and will depend on the genetics of both, more so the wildtype. I had a whole mixed population of rcs and wildtypes and with some luck and time i got a few yellow and light blue variations but stabilizing the line was hard as the offspring would often revert. Introducing some good specimens from external sources wouldve helped
