maintenance day has come and I decided to scrub down the driftwood and take out the dodgy rocks. Will now see if the wood has finally stopped being fluffy after more then a month. Had to add a new rock thought to keep the wood stable but atleast I know this one is safe.

Do you have snails or any fish in there? They'd help keep the wood free of the fluffy stuff since they eat it.
When I had this I also took it out and scrubbed and it came back, but once I got fish in the tank they nibbled it clean

The fluff really won't be any issue in your tank, just that it doesn't look so good.. You could keep scrubbing it if it does come back or just leave it, either way shouldn't make any difference on your tank :)

I had the same algae growing on my wood when I first setup. I initially got 8 cherry shrimp and they cleaned the algae off in 1 day, and it's never been back!

As most know I have been having problems from the get go firsts with my rocks and then with wood fluffies. Well i found a problem with the wood this week, its already disintegrating and its only been 2 months so i took a trip to my lfs and got proper rocks and make a brand new scape without the wood but I like this one the best of all of them to be honest.

Looks epic! Just make sure the rhizome of the javafern and anubias are not planted or they will rot and melt away

They are atleast not the javafern is on top of the substrate it was nice and heavy so doesn't float away and the anubias is wedged in between the two rocks
