    Gorgeous @Broder...

Sorry for my ignorance, never had hillstream loaches before...
Do they actually swim around like the other loaches? Or are they always stuck to the wood/glass?

I have never seen any in a home tank, only oes I have seen are at the LFS and then they always stuck to the glass, have never actually seen one swimming around...

Thanks all! Yes @MariaS. Their natural habitat is fast flowing water, so they've adapted to suckering onto and grazing aufwuchs from rocks here. They dart from rock to rock and along the bottom of the tank, chasing each other away from algae wafers etc. They need this kind of highly oxygenated water to do well in an aquarium. I assume that the ones in your LFS were conserving oxygen by remaining still. When I first got my single specimen, I kept it in a normal tank. It survived and looked great, but you only realize once they are in the correct environment, with their friends, how important it is for these fish.

Thanks @Broder, then my setup is perfect for them as I have made sure I provide that for all my loaches

Loads oxygen and current in my tank so in that sense they would be happy.. Is it ok to have them with clowns, polka dots, yoyos and zebras?

I'm sure that's fine. Other fish seem to ignore them completely.

Hey @MariaS they should do fine with those loaches but they don't do well with temps above 25/26 deg c, so a species tank would be better - check out Loaches.com loads of info on them - pretty specialized species.

Got a nice pic of my Boesmani rainbowfish. Probably one of the most photogenic fish around.

Thanks @Vis. You can't really go wrong with a macro lens.
