6 X 6 sounds amazing, what kind of filtration are u looking at? Will u be handling every tank on its own or something more central?

And whats a fishroom without rainbows :p i gotta habe a rainbow tank.

Good luck, also have a look on gumtree and olx i think there was someone getting rid of a fishroom.

    Welcome to TASA

When working in a designated area, it is best to decide what you rack / tank density will be. I failed at doing this initially and only very late in my MTS started making my own purpose fit stands. The problem with just getting something quickly that will work for now is it tends to stay that way int the future.

in 36m2 you need to decide are you doing show tanks or breeders, the two seldom mix well.

Agreed. I have decided to try a dual stand (which I have posted a thread on TASA). Show tank at the bottom, breeders above. Reason for this is its just easier working with baby fish at eye level. The show tank wont require much maintenance other than WC, cutting back stems and cleaning the front glass whereas fry need more frequent water changes and get fed multiple times daily. Comes down to whatever you decide works for you which comes down to your personal experiences

In the case of a power failure, will the water still flow and keep your media wet?

    Hi All

Thanks for all the posts so far.

I just completed my starter "frank" tank today will let it cycle for a month or so while im searching for the special one.

Im going to start building a racking system tomorrow to fit 1.2 x .5 x .5 tanks.

Will only building 2 for now.

@MariaS - The whole room is running of backup power from UPS (3kva) and batteries to last atleast 24hours so power outage should not be a problem as there is also a generator on site which can be started.

Ill post some pics of todays work.

    Thanks again all.

    What do you think..

Will 200mm be enough spacing between the tanks ?

I would have stuck the tanks right next to each other with no gaps, not sure if there is any reason to keep gap, i think stuck togethwr will cut down a bit on heating?

Shuh, how high will u be going? 200mm could be a bit tight. Will they be planted tanks or breeding tanks.
