    Hey Guys.

My dear wife has given me a fish room. Yay. Only condition is that the room looks good. So what i have done is taken my braai room and turned it into my study slash fish room. I learned to braai in Pretoria so we do it outside. hahaha. I have only used the braai room once since i bought the place a year and a half ago so now it is a fish room. I will remove the braai at a later stage and add a 2mx2mx0.6m tank there.

So does anyone have any suggestions or ideas what i can do to improve the room? I still want to add more lights to hang over the tanks.

I will add more pictures once i have all the lights on. I just got table and 3foot in yesterday so i took the pictures very quickly.

Most the big houses in the northern suburbs of Cape Town have a braai room lol. I was shocked when i moved here. I stay in Welgemoed and i think almost every house has a braai room.

A fish room is a fantastic idea. Thinking about it my self. Just insure you got enough ventilation and in the winter, you can keep the room warm.

@HennieRoux you will be converted to an indoor braai as well once you have tried to braai in a howling Souteaster in the Cape - not recommended for the faint-hearted, even for us dyed in the wool Gautenger's...!!!
@Frank007301 very cool - now you can braai and do fishie things at the same time...!!

Yeah take out that sissie braai and install a proper sky light or two for that big tank, make sure you can in some way control the light though.

Nice... My recommendation is that you look at building or having built for you a racking system that can enable you to take the tanks up... Trust me 3 tanks will never be enough...

So here are the tank close ups that you requested. I will post a close up of the Planed tank once it is looking pretty again. lol. I had to move a few things and the tank has clouded up now so will post ASAP!
