If he is brackish have you tried some other fish, like the knight Goby or maybe even a mudskipper?

can't keep a mud skipper with it the fish needs a different habitat .
knight goby might work but I doubt it , the moray is predatory and the goby is territorial , not a good mix .

Yup, he's brackish, but very incompatible with other fish. I've heard of other fishkeepers keeping different species with them, but as for my morays, they'll only accept each other's company. They've already nailed down a school of very large glassfish and Monodactylus sebae.

I have a mudskipper, but in a different tank altogether. They need very different setups...

I'd say the moray would win, hands down :p heck, I wouldn't put my hands in there, I really doubt a 'territorial' goby would last long. :blink1:

haha yeah what I meant is that the goby will want its own space . its no good as the moray will know where its next meals home is so to speak .

predators own the tank and the food rights to what ever is in it .

It was just a thought lol....
by the way don't underestimate the Knight Goby I was loosing every type of fish I put in the tank with the Goby and the skipper I assumed it was the skipper - man was I wrong when I added a dwarf cichlid and watched as the Knight Goby attacked this poor guy did not know what hit him...
had I not been there to get him Out I might have lost him as well lol, only things surviving at the moment, is my swordtails, banjo and the damn molly (that I got as a gift and now cant get rid of) oh and my leopard PLEC...

Thanks :) I don't favour marines over freshwater, nor do I favour fresh over salt. I'm just happy that I got the chance to finally keep these bad boys.

    Nope :blink1:

Very cool, heard if you not careful though you can end up with fish biltong. So for everyone considering these awesome critz make sure you can escape proof your tank. Open tops are a no no.
