Soooo MTS is a possibility now ... Go for it !!!

Glad you have had success - you must post about those when they happen in the hobby, even if nobody acknowledges it, having a flight log helps when you need to track your own growth in the hobby.

So I decided to make some changes to the tank.

    Added a tetra tec ex1200
    Added some lights
    Changed the gravel to black
    Rescaped and added some decorations

This is the work in progress thus far. Water was still cloudy there but cleaned up nicelyc440d8dd5636da11d27cefe574891806.jpgaf34b6f615f0cfbbee4f6aa5af4fa941.jpg07a267038f444eb81aba56e423662bea.jpg

Looks very good, even with the cloudiness about. Be sure to stock your tank nice and slowly, to allow your system to adapt to the extra bioload properly.

Your tank is looking really awesome.

Are the Harlequin Rasboras a new addition?

Then another question, can one use the borehole water for wc? I haven't tested it as in yet but am wondering if it is possible, as my house's water comes from the borehole and not the municipal water.

You probably could! Testing would be ideal, but I think with a carbon block filter it could work :)

    Looks good.
Just me, but I always like some sort of background. I find it distracting looking through a tank to the wall/room behind.

I had a black background but then the tank is very dark during the day and can't really see the fish till the light turns on.

I have borehole and have used it on my tanks for about 12 years now. Never had a problem with it. Out water is crystal clear. Does have a high count of calcium in it but I use to for the softer water fishes

The tank is looking very, very nice

I have been using borehole water for 30 years and never had a problem
Mine is also a bit high on calcium but have never had a problem
I do add a small amount of Safe to it as a "just in case" because the rays are fairly sensitive but other than that, so far so good

Tank looks very nice with the black substrate. I think a background will be nice but I cannot recall a specific one that will suit the tank.
