I'm Adrian, I'm new here. I kept some fish back in the 90s now I'm getting back into the hobby. I've got a 3 ft tanks I started a month ago. Busy building another one because of a fish that needs to be separated.
This is the tank right now:

Still a bit sparse. It's stocked with 5 tetras, 1 angel, one chinese algae eater and a reed fish named Raphael (Raffy). There were a couple more fish but I had to remove a Skunk Loach that was incredibly aggressive and Raffy the reed fish killed an angel and a tetra just disappeared, presumed eaten by Raffy. So Raffy will get his own tank soon.
The tank has a canister filter and a home made filter. Substrate is "clown vomit" gravel on one side
and pool filter sand on the other side with a home made coconut hut. The back glass is tinted with blue automotive tinting film. Still lots of work to do.

Here's the video of yesterday's tragedy (Warning, graphic content):

Hi and welcome to the Forum

Reedfish are predatory. They will catch and eat anything small enough that will fit in their mouth.

Thanks, I didn't know this. Just goes to show you can't believe everything you read on the internet.
A moment of silence for the fallen angel
