    Thanks.
The first fry of the pair is coloring up, mostly like the parents but there are 3 males showing some red in the tails, were removed and are growing out seperately. I think I will breed yellow brother to yellow sister here if they are good enough. Hopefully I can breed out the red that is lingering in the line.
The two yellow sisters of the 5 colored males were bred to their father and they are very pregnant. I am keeping them separate.

A nice pic of the "green" male:

The male and female with batches 3 and 4 of fry!
    1.jpg
The 2nd batch of the pair is coloring up nicely but too soon to do any selections yet.
The 1st batch's females have drop their fry from their dad also and I am feeding them heavily with micro/banana worms.
Breeding for a line is taking up a lot of space! The 6th tank/container is now in operation for this line.

I use this Betta tank and the above were taken with the close-up setting. Still have to take 100 pictures to get 10 to use!

Thanks, cause I take like a 100 pics, and none end up with a fish in the shot!

I now believe that the first three batches are not fathered by the snakeskin male - that is probably why I get so much red in the offspring. The latest batch coloring up looks better:

The genes can be tricky. I gave seen crosses that look nothing like the parents but once crossed back they suddenly look like what you would expect.

Yes, that is the fun with guppies! There are fry growing up where the male were bred with the females from the first 10 fry - they will show color soon.

I have moved all the yellow snakeskins into the spare bedroom- last winter the space was occupied by the red half blacks. The line is producing about 70-80% fish looking like the mom and dad, 10% yellow snakeskin blond fish - feeling very excited about them and the rest are "reddish" snakeskins. Most of the yellow snakeskin males do show a little red coloring in the tails - I am fine with this and is going to keep that as part of the line.

The dad of the yellow snakeskins has become a magnificent fish - the largest and biggest tailed guppy male I have:

    Colors are way better :)

    Gray line:

The red in the tail is this lines "signature" After a lot of pondering and researching, especially with the help from Matt, I can conclude now that my snakeskin originated from the breeding of a Micariff male and a red half black female. I only got one yellow snakeskin female and from her and her son the snakeskin line began.

Pics of the new male and females used for further breeding this line:

    4th/5th generation fish coming through.

As I remember correctly it started with the first two snakeskins, then the father with two of his daughters, then the brothers and sisters:

Get this from the grays and blonds.
The first yellow snakeskin male was the son of the first female(popped out from nowhere) and a red half black.
