Guppy Challenge Entry: Vis

@lennard they are not. The females where both true breeding tiger females.
Top pic is a cross with a Multicolor feeder guppy.
Second pick is a cross from a orange endler hybrid male.

They share the same orange stripe due to the females genes.

I crossed one male from both batches back to the females, should have F2 fry in about 3 weeks.

I am really trying to understand the genetics because there are some strange things happening over here with my breeding! One day, when you have some time to spare, maybe you can help me out on some of the genetics going on here. As things go now I isolate new lines almost every day!

 

HI all, sorry for not updating so frequently but its just been hectic and at one stage I only had fry so nothing to see.

Ok these F2 fry turned out slightly different then what I wanted. I was hoping for multicolor tigers but got something different.
I did not know the half black gene of the female I used was so dominant.

I call them bumblebee endlers.

 

They do however have that slight blue from the female coming through in some.

P.S for sale if anybody want. R200 for the six males and 8 virgin females.

You can continue this line and improve it if you want.

 

They are very beautiful!

Wanted to move my one 3ft outside to cultivate live food.
So decided to build another devided tank to fit to the bottem of my other breeding stand.

Parden the cables, still need get it neatly tucked away.

Shhh... but you are guppy mad , hope you will be ok after meeting me . Unfortunately I don't do endlers but if you have never seen guppies before you will soon . Large tails etc between 10000 and 20000 guppies , you don't get a ugly guppy only less beautiful ones . My grand daughter started with fish to , sy is haar oupa se visboer.

The guys at the LPS don't ask if they can help me anymore, they just leave me alone and wait till I call them to come catch one guppy

 

I am continuing with my tiger endler line next year but my new challenge for next year is to breed the guppies with biggest tails that I can.

 

I tell you what lets make a competition on biggest male and female , biggest tails male and female . Put something on it like a trip to Mauritius ha ha ha just joking . Just for fun the chat and pics , it will be very educational and interesting for the new members .
Maybe both of us can gain or learn something by doing this , just no anglers please I have enough species of fish.
