Hi all, It's finally time to do this thread. I have been seriously into fishkeeping since 2015 and got my first tanks in June 2016 starting with a 20l tank that was in storage and a 250l tank which was a monster for me! It's only getting worse. Currently I'm running 5 tanks in my room and one in my brothers room, with 8 species of fish, 3 of shrimp and +- 25 types of plants. Let's see...

    250l tank - 2 Polypterus senegalus, 4 African brown knife (2m, 2f) and a synodontis euruptus.
60l tank - 8 glowlight tetras, one rosy barb and brucie my paradise fish.
    40l - 4 pygmy gouramis, lovely creatures
    30l - +-70 sakura/cherry shrimp
    20l - M/F pumpkin shrimp pair
    16l - 4 Blue carbon shrimp
And a rack soon to come :D

    Plants? Let's not start...

My favourite fish are my African knives and polypterus, amazing fish from Africa. I got 2 male knives over a year ago, and then 2 females recently. The polypterus I have had since April/May this year. I have a captive bred fish, nibblet after his habits, and a Nigerian wild caught, toothless. Just awesome fish.

Here is nibblet in April 2017 when I got her, a toothpick of a fish, maybe 10cm tops:

Now here she is months later, thick and big!IMG_2481.JPG

The other one is toothless, a beautiful wild caught fish :)

The 2 together, nibblet left and toothless right:

Some knife shots, there are 4; night-time and day-time(males), then dawn and dusk(females) all named by my brother based on colours haha. IMG_6342.JPG IMG_6260.JPG

Now for some gourami action, I've had these for two weeks and I love them. Microworms are a favourite food :D

Brucie (after Bruce Lee) my paradise fish, love this fella! His fins have recovered since this photo was taken :)

I'm a mad planted tank fan, and I set up all of my tanks with plants, black sand and a black background. It makes the colour really pop and gives a clean look. Have yet to breed fish but I'd need more tanks for that, so not yet :)

A long term goal of mine is to breed my knifefish, it basically hasn't been done before so I want to crack the code, I have a mixed group and with the help of a varied and thorough diet I hope to trigger it one day. For now I'm focusing on my gourami group I'm hoping to breed them soon :)

I hope you all enjoyed this thread, more pics to follow ;)

A catchy title, great looking tanks and happy inhabitants seem to indicate that you are doing things right.
Keep up the good work (in headmaster voice)

Yeah typically you see a for sale sign in a few months, hope this was not the peak of his legacy.

My only sales plans are shrimp, I'll need to thin out my sakura sooner or later :)

I am also now trying some emersed growing. Anubias "petite" on the left, Buce Catherinia rhizome in the middle and a black lizard on the right. I'm hoping this will grow. Substrate is peat fiber with tank water and DSD fertilizer added to it :)
