@Reedfish very hard to find that plastic mesh this side. The closest I have come to it is the mesh that they sell at builders

    Maybe try a material shop

They keep that netting that is used to make those covers that you put over food to keep flies away

@MariaS the mesh that I am talking about are the solid plastic sheets that are very rigid and can not be moulded much

Ok... you mean like egg crate?
The holes are about 1cm.. is that what you looking for?
I haven't seen any with smaller holes that wouldn't let fry through

I think it's called plastic canvas at the arts and craft shop.

Much smaller than 1cm but still big enough to let new born fry through

I know but if you can't find and need to do something in a hurry you could jerry rig something with shade netting in the mean time till you find the right stuff.

It's not really hard - in between shade cloth and egg crate

Which is why I found it ideal.
Firm enough to keep its shape (with bracing around the edges) but flexible enough to fiddle into place

Anyone come right with finding plastic canvas?

I went looking for some this week and no one even knows what I am talking about. The best I could find was netting as mentioned above from builders...

Wow your tank looks really good :). Guppies are one of my favourite fish, I love their different colours and patterns. They breed really easily, I'm sure you're aware of that. With my guppies I used one of those clear containers that you stick to the side of the tank. It worked really well and didn't take up space. But if you want to breed certain pairs together then obviously it wouldn't be the right set-up for you. Good luck :)
