Keyhole cichlids

    It is too bad that these gems are not available in SA. Had them years ago in Durbs (1990's). No shop keeps them, importers are not really in the mood to import them. Covid causes delays, cancellations etc. Hopefully next year would be better year for us, for the hobby.

    Any other keyhole lovers out there?

    Relatively mild mannered for a South American Cichlid

    Agree great fish that can be kept.in a group instead of.most other cichlids.

    Easily available overseas, but not imported. Saw them on e-bay, pricey but still....

    the best thing is this is essentially the base fish , has so many relatives that show more color
