    P4230502.jpg

I am back to using the grinder method of feeding. Tanks seems better fed ...

I just spotted 2 more - so a total of 5 ... could I have bought 5 and they all survived - sounds about right I like buying livestock in uneven numbers ...

Not bad for a rather old cleaner ;-)

They can live for 5 or more years, some claim to have 10 year old amanos. And apparently the colouration can vary slightly depending on diet.

Yeah - I am just really pleased that they done OK in this tank, not like it is a shrimps dream care setup.

    P4240535.jpg

Hope it will leave most of the plant standing.

These guys love the camera .... ok like 4 shots out of 80 ..

Well most of the guppies spend the summer days in an outside tank ... and they just love sunlight - seem to come back stronger as a strain. So it is now a mix of probably 20% being in the tank all the time vs the rest of the guppies spending a summer vacation outside.

After sooooo many years ... since I moved the canister to the left of the tank. I redid the plumbing to get rid of a 1.2m loop of pipe;-)

    P4260940.jpg

    P4260942.jpg

    Cleaned out the shelf ...

    P4260944.jpg

Added a sponge on the intake again.

    P4260945.jpg P4260947.jpg

With the extra flow in the tank - allot of much is floating around .... Lets see how it clears.

These guys are getting so destructive ....

    P4260949.jpg P4260956.jpg P4260958.jpg P4260967.jpg P4260972.jpg

Like the fact that they are breeding - but the competion is uprooting plants all the time.

Thik I will try the bottle method to catch them.

Move and HOB that has loads of batting into the tank this morning ... few hours latr and the water is looking way way better.

    P4271024.jpg

air bubbles from the return venture ( by accident of course ) is now in the tank, I am OK with this.

    P4271028.jpg

Configured a Mi Flora Bluetooth LE device to talk to domoticz .... polling the probe every 6 hours.

    upload_2020-4-27_11-24-45.png

Will be interesting to see these stats over time.

Was only taking 4 samples a day .. upped it to 8 samples, so every 3 hours now. Not a big change in conductivity.

So less conductivity would indicate some sort of consumption, be it by plants, bacteria etc ... Esp since I know I have not done a water top-up for the evaporation that I can clearly see is happening.

Got a feeding corner now, on the left under the canister intake. For sinking pellets it means the bigger fish destroy less of the rest of the tank.P5021173.jpg

Spotted this guy below - now I remember adding a misc at some point - maybe a year or more ago. Clearly this was it ;-)

    P5021176.jpg

Have not tried to determine what it is yet - wonde it it will breed if I can find another?
