Really decent price for that Carbon, I think CPT has a little thing where they are now all uping the price of carbon....

Not sure on which plant you mean for the ID?

Tank is looking good though, even with the green tinge.

With regards to the carbon, I got to the till and they gave it to me for the price on the package and then fixed the prices on the rest of the packs. Apparently meant to be R80 a pack, so I scored

Thanks for the comment. Battling with the cloudiness, though. Hopefully will come right on its own.

I might be wrong but that looks like Hygrophila Difformis (water wisteria) in the emersed form.
I had a bunch of it once and looked very close to that.

There is a piece of water wisteria behind this plant. I should have taken a better pic:lol:

The plant looks like a ludwigia to me, probably ludwigia repens?

So, I spoke to my local LFS owner about the cloudiness in my tank. He said I should do an experiment by switching all the house lights off after my tanks lights switch off, switch off all filters etc and use a torch to watch the water carefully. He said the cloudiness could be caused by infusoria.

I did that this evening and this was the result. All those white specs are swimming around...

Now, I don't know if there are enough infusoria to cause cloudiness, but there are a lot of them!

    The celebrations were real today:lol::thumbup:

Either the carbon worked or time brought clarity to my water:thumbup:

True that. Thanks for the advice to get crushed carbon :)
    Yip!

My Vallis is finally started to grow nicely. Pearl grass will hopefully start spreading(there are a few runners).

This tank is looking great! I can’t wait to see what it looks like once the Pearl Grass has grown out. Are you looking at going for a jungle type style?

Thanks hey. If you look at my post from way back when, before I restarted the tank, you'll see how wild my pearl grass went. Hoping it will take off again :)

So, I was thinking. I havent rearranged my lights from where they were in my tank before.

Now that my plants are concentrated on the left of my tank, should I swap my 20watt LED(currently centre) to go above my plants? See pic.

Could work well, as long as it doesn't give too much glare off that side of the tank?

4 days growth. Take note of the leaf with a hole in it and compare the growth above it...
