    Oh stunning specimens!
    So difficult to sex them, do you have any tips?
    I have what turned out to be 2 males as they started fighting so had to move the one into another tank. Just yesterday bought what I hope will be a female. She’s in the QT and still has some growing out to do.

    Thank you! There's quite a few physical characteristics you can go by, but to be sure I look at the vent shape. The females vent is larger and tubular shaped vs the male has a smaller triangular shaped vent.

    To give you an idea, in the photo the male is in focus. My female was actually the largest fish there haha

    Thanks so much! Do you find that you can sex them as juveniles or not so much?
