Went to my lfs yesterday and they had this Mormyrops in as recent import
Am very keen for it, but my tank is far too busy for it.

That is very, very cute! Very unusual @Reedfish

I Also love what they call the freshwater dolphin... but they need species only tanks with dimlights etc..

    Very nice!

Do you have him alone or in a Community tank?

Yes, I think they would be def species only.
The tank it is in was full of the leaves, and it was hiding. The lfs owner moved the leaves around a bit so I could see it.
He said he had received 2, but one didn't last long. And this one isn't eating yet.

Lfs had those too, but they quite common and easy to get hold of.

I was at the lfs last weekend
And this fish was no longer there.
I asked the owner if it was sold, but he said no, it had died unfortunately.

    They are really finicky apparently.

Do you know if they captive bred or wild caught?

I thought it probably was but wasnt sure

Apart from being finicky, I suppose that makes it even worse to get them going.
