Thank you, I normally only go to Wazeers after I've already been to like 4-5 stores as also had some badluck with them a few times and hate how they con people with their prices and always give you "Special discount". would prefer it more if they listed reasonable prices and then provide discount where applicable. Also, the advice they've given is not good at all so mostly just go in for want I want and then leave.

Struggling to get dither fish for Fronts which they will not eat at a later stage.

R400 is still a bit much for me to be honest especially because my fronts cost me less than that. I will also rather do R400 than bloody R750 - R1500 per fish at any time as well. Else will just have to let it go and see how all works out over the next few years. Just wish could get a place which has good prices for Tangs. It's more like each store tries to add marine prices to these fish for a quick profit or they must have very expensive places they get these fish from.

    Thanks :D

Wow nice tank. That yellow lab in the middle right at the top of the pic has a very different face. Is that infact a salousi with the "signature" lab colouring?

    It isn’t a yellow Lab.
It’s one of those strange colour forms of something else. Maybe salousi? Hard to be 100% certain

    @Ortaega

I think Tangs are quite niche, so I guess they will be more expensive.
The lfs I go to gets them at a decent price for the bread and butter species. More specialist types are more though. But other fish shops tend to be more expensive.
But for eg the Alto at my regular place are about £10.(R210) But another fish shop up the road from me has them for £35! (R700!). Same size.

I'm sure then salousi as the head shape matches, that colour is definitely unique though as they're usually a little brownish yellow not this Canary like colour. Beautiful fish

I had salousi when I kept Malawis. They had a blue base with some orange.

Yes I also kept them but the colour was like an orange shade of yellow with some feint bars. They were nice fish and always active. Males used to tear up the tank often though.

This one also not 100% at first thought was a Pseudotropheus acei

Wow you have some gorgeous fish.

The first unidentified looks like a red top hongi but has very little red on his fins possibly still to colour up.

Second looks like acei to me, but could also be a Lambardoi male about to go into full colour, mine all started on the top fin first and the rest of the body followed, but this is a fast process so I'm sure if this one's colour has been this way for a while then Acei is your greatest bet

    Thanks. :D

Think the Acei not coloring up as much s the 2 brightest in the tank are the large front and the one Yellow lab is very bright.

Got some small portions of Jungle Val from lfs after Church on the way home, hope they will not uproot them. Placed it in the area they are least active for now at the back just to add a little bit of green for now.IMG_20210314_132839.jpg

The LFS gonna search around for some leptosoma for me.

Said if she can get it for a good price she would advise me to do my own breeding project on a small colony on the side. Would be well worth it in the long run. The Leleupi they had were unfortunately sold out as well as their Calvus, someone came and took almost all their Tang stock yesterday.

Hmm, I wonder if they will leave Java Fern / Anubias alone.
