Would spot treating of hydrogen peroxide not kill it? It works nicely for me. I dose 1ml of h2o2 (3%) per gallon or 0,5 ml of h2o2 of 6% per gallon using a syringe directly onto affected areas. You can buy a bottle from dischem for like R15

Interesting post Hennie - thanks for the heads up.

Do you dry the leaves then feed it or are these fresh?

Also how long does it take to break down in the water and when do you remove it?

Have you noticed any benefit, more colour or more drops etc ?

    Later Ferdie

Hi guys...@Ferdie so I dry the leaves for about 3-4 days. I then drop them in the water. Depending on how many shrimp you have, you might need to remove the left over leaves. If you have a good amount of shrimp, they should get thru a leave in a matter of 2-3 days, no problem. If the leave is nice and dry it can take up to a week to decay, then you will have to remove. The nice things is that dry leaves sink once soaked.

I think the benefit I have noticed is that the growth is quicker, and breeding rates increased. What I do find what increased colour, was feeding bloodworm, and not just algea wafers and leaves.
