I try to keep my fish healthy. I currently must do 500L water changes a week to keep the water good for them. None of the fish I keep like to do little bits of waste.
That is some intanse labor . If i may ask how do you transfer that amount of water ?
WOW - one day when I grow up I might be able to have a BIG fish tank like that - LOVE IT, Just not sure I am ready for that kind of commitment.
Wow @Stalker, thats a lot of water...
How big is your tank?
@MariaS The tank is only 1200 Liter big. The tank is actually only big enough for the GG alone and that is why I do such big water changes.
Some new photos of my family
Your fish are looking good and the water very clear!
The coloration on Oscar fish is incredible.
Great pics !!!
These pics isn't the best, I just quickly taken a few photos with my DSLR. Normally I will setup the studio photography lights around the tank to prevent reflections on the tank glass.
That looks like a fat and healthy family. The giant gourami has a face that only parents could love
That Giant gourami is going to be a real ugly fish. I've only seen nice looking GG once on twice before. At least her personality makes up for it.
That's what I tell everybody about my mother in law !!!
I love Gekkie !!!
@Stalker, ok... thought your tank was bigger.. Hahah with that gorgeous monster I can understand why you do such big water change... The Oscars dont help either!!
Well.. all the fish look in stunning condition
As for Gekkie.. come on guys.. she is not that ugly...She is actually cute in her own way.
I like the way the tiger oscar checks the gourami out all the time!!
That tiger oscar think he is the boss in the tank, he chase the other oscars around and then the gourami just get fed up with him and take him on. Gekkie put him on his place for about 2 weeks and then time for another fight
Stalker is that a gold or white gg, eyes don't look pink so I presume it's not an albino?
The GG is a golden GG. My first two fish I ever bought was 2 albino GG. The were completely different from this GG.
Where are those ????
They died because I used wrong water, I used water through a tap filter and not plain tap water. The tank was cycled but the PH was 4.2 and no other minerals for the any fish too survive. My friend own a pet shop and he tested the water for me. The water was replaced, cycled again and I started to keep all types off gouramis, angels, mollies, Neons and fish that didn't need a huge tank to live.
2 off my favorite fish in my tank, Gekkie and Albie
