They are eating machines LOL. The green tint of the water is worrying me a bit, water does not smell bad and fish looks happy and healthy.

If it's worrying you, try some fine floss in your filter. That can do the trick.
Or if it becomes an algal bloom, possibly a uv might clear it up

    Very nice @rednox

    Agree with @Reedfish

I must say since we put UV lights, never an algae bloom again and does make tank crystal clear if your floss is enough

Tank is looking great, like the wood

I just go to the local material shop and buy batting per meter (its what you use for duvets and quilt making)
Works out much cheaper than the little bags of floss the LFS sells

Looks really good, maybe consider a longish air stone in the back of the centre drift wood...

I must admit Im not a big fan of airpumps - find most of the smaller ones are either noisy or give hassles frequently - especially the rubber cup...

The larger compressor style air pumps seem kewl, but then you need more tanks - lol

Im not sure how you have your media set out in your sump, in mine, i have the batting in the first compartment so the water goes through batting to the rest of the media compartments and just before the pump i have another small compartment with batting as a final polisher

My internal filters obviously dont have as much space so i put the batting over the media so the water goes through the batting first
Depending on space, i usually cut up 4 pieces of the batting to the size of the compartment and put the 4 layers in
During the week, as the top layer gets filthy, i just peel off the top layer and leave the rest. And so i go on until i have to replace the layers again

This works great for me, bearing in mind that the bioload in my tank and the mess from feeding rays
I literally peel off a layer every second day

I usually pay about R20.00 per meter and its 2.5m wide
Dont get the very thick one or the very thin one. go for the medium thickness

    @rednox ,

In the sump, i usually put a piece of eggcrate on top of the batting to hold it down with a small stone on top
