    @top dog,

    I will probably give it a try once she is bigger but my gut feeling says its not going to work
    My Red not being the problem, she is actually very peaceful and accepts new fish without any problems.
    Chases my severum when he tries to pinch her crickets but otherwise she is ok but... from what I see of the 24k's behaviour already ummmmm... Im not sure its going to work unless Spooky is very gentle and the size difference makes the 24k behave

    Its already damn cheeky and already picks on the Blue Base
    They have been ok for most of the time but every now and then, war breaks lose and the 24k is the culprit... no injuries though, I just switch on the extra wave maker and that puts an end to the squabbles for a while
    Not sure how long the reasonable peace will last between the two but so long as it lasts until the new tank is up and running its all I ask

    The cross back the gold goes to the 6th scale and over but the gold is not as deep and sometimes not all the scales are completely gold
    The 24k is supposed to be a richer gold and fully gold (ie.. hence the name.. reminds you of a 24k gold bar) so yes, you can say just a higher quality cross back

    @SalmonAfrica ..

    Hahha tried... not a very good video..

    They small and at the top all the time and the lights just give this blurry glare ..

    Excuse the background... Im playing around with what colour to make it....
    And my water isnt dirty.. as you can see at the beginning of the video.. they were in boxing mood tonight before I fed so I switched on the wave make which is too big for the tank but it stops them from squabbling and it was too tilted and blowing the sand everywhere..

    Very nice to see the two of them together. Hopefully the peace keeps, but I'm sure they the new home will be ready soon anyway.

    I like the darker background, I think it works nice for fish photos. Especially with the colours of the fish you have there.

    The background to my tank is black.
    With hindsight I wish I had made it a lighter blue.
    IMO the black tends to make the tank look gloomy.

    That peace is hanging on a thread but we will see

    Usually you don't get it right with Two only... to have any chance of having them together you need at least 3 or 4 to disperse their attention/aggression
    It also works to throw a silver in the mix but we trying to stay away from silvers due to the size

    I also prefer the black background
    They do tell you though that with the Gold Aros you should have a light, preferably white background to bring out the best in them but Im not sure I can do the white background
    I just say the genes must do what they have to do

    I cant make up my mind on this tank..

    On the very big tanks, I must sat I prefer a darker colour however, because of the size of the tank and lights you don't get so much the gloomy look

    The tank we just sold was a light blue and I must be honest it didn't do much for me, its like the colours of the fish didn't stand out
    I think the best is a darkish blue like my big tank
    I am however just for curiosity's sake, still hang something white and make it 'the ghost tank""! See what that looks like!!

    Its now 6 weeks since my last update and little Madam Sunshine is growing quite nicely

    The peace between Sunshine and the Blue baby didnt last very long as Sunshine became a real bully to the other one and we just had to separate them.
    Funny enough she is fine with the rest of the fish in the tank, he was just not sharing with another Aro

    We were expecting this as, to be able to keep more than one together you need to have 4 or 5 of them
    We not too worried about it as, she was to go to @Cesar's new tank when its ready and she is big enough. Just meant we had to set up a tank for the Blue baby for now.
