Stuff is definitely pumping but I’m not complaining haha.

Also marked off an area where I’ll be putting 2x 3m “tanks” for growing plants, final idea is having 3-4 of those stacked to grow plants.

It will be getting natural sunlight which I have found make plants grow like mad.

Holy cow do 56 plecos in a tank destroy algae.

I don’t have a pic of the tank the first day I added them but will add a photo of another tank as all my tanks looked exactly the same with algae

Day1 before adding them (not the exact tank)

And yes I know a lot of people don’t like algae, but I found it good for fish and shrimp, most of the fish I have constantly graze on it and the shrimp always grazes on it.

Plus I like the look of algae on the sides of a tank.

    Fun little surprise this morning.

My goldfish I added to the pool pond is spawning, can see a couple of eggs in the water lilies.

Will see if they make it, as I’m not going to remove the eggs

Just one of the plants they spawned in, the others are too deep to take a photo of.

Soo I did a large delivery at a pet shop for shrimps and some fish and I had a look and their pond treatments they had for algae.

Those prices are absolutely insane and there is no way I was going to pay that.

So on my way back from the shop I made a stop and picked up 2x 25L buckets filled to the brim with hornwort (if I had to guess, 10-15 kilos per bucket, no water in the bucket)

After 2 days of adding them I already saw a difference, and now, I can almost see the bottom clearly again.

Pretty stoked about that and pretty impressed with how well hornwort works

Counted around 50 goldfish babies but with the amount of plants in there I have no idea how many there really are, will see if they survive on their own.

Also dragged the giant ass tank to the back and put it on its place, would have shared a photo but its messy as hell at the moment haha.

Will be using the tank as a summer mixed guppy breeding tank.

Did some culling on my high grade line, removed well over 50 shrimp.

I usually check every day and I see culls every day, so late last night and early this morning I was shaking the plants, moving logs and things around and removed all these I could see, and man there was a ton haha.

At least my high grade line should be a little cleaner now.

Also snapped a shot of one of the blue dreams, they are such a dark blue they look black on camera, but I love these guys. Got around 6 berried females, 2 of which are real close to dropping. Interested to see what they look like after removing more than half the colony due to them being culls. Had 81 shrimp and I’m left with 21 after some serious culling a month back.

    Goldfish spawned again.

They honestly need to take a break there are 1000’s of fry swimming around in the pond still.

    I need some help.

I want to rip one of my small marine tanks apart and use it as a display tank on my desk.

    Its 1m x 40cm wide x 30 high.

It’s going to be a planted tank but I’m having trouble deciding on stocking. Shrimp are a must tho haha.

Havent decided on all the plants yet but I do have an idea.

Soo I have 2 large spawns of some amazing Betta removed the males today and checked on the fry.

Will post a pic as soon as I can get my camera to focus on them haha.

Also goldfish spawned yesterday and today again, had to get in and fix the plants they messed up.

There is an absolute ton of babies that survived all the previous spawns and they are really putting on some size, still small obviously but not compared to the size they were haha.

Also cut back some of the lilies and removed any dead leaves

The pipes are in there as the fry hide inside them, so I decided just to leave them there.

    Say Hallo to fishroom 2.0

Our building plans have been approved and I will be building a second fish room.

    Super stoked.
I’ll share a pic as soon as the area has been cleared, its quite the mess at the moment.

I have a giant garage and splitting the one half of it in to the fish room. Or only 3m wide x 4m long. So more like 1/5th of the garage will be a fish room.

Super excited and I’ll share the progress on here
